Map, variants and repeated surveys

Two versions in one week, focused on work in the field.

New

• One-off or repeated. For each survey method you decide per project whether a point has exactly one record (the default) or is surveyed repeatedly, for example in annual inspections. In the first case the app prevents a second survey and offers to open the existing record. In the second, older surveys are kept as history.
• Variants in survey forms. A form can have several variants, for example "single tree" or "area". In the field you pick the fitting variant; switching asks for confirmation so no input is lost unnoticed. Variants are set up in the form editor, no programming required.
• Map. The map can follow your position, jump back to it with one tap, and shows a measuring line to the map centre – handy for walking to a sample point. You choose which label is shown at each point. GPS and Bluetooth receivers can be disconnected cleanly.
• Project menu. A new menu inside a project brings together switching projects, the GPS connection and the layout (map above or below).

Improved

• Transfer from private projects. Only the entries the server is missing are sent. The app shows how many entries exist only on the device, and the local copy is kept until every record is confirmed by the server.
• Last opened project. The app remembers the project you used last and opens it directly.

Outlook

Notifications are in the works: projects can be subscribed to, and you will hear when new records arrive there, in the app and optionally via push.
