Schrat is now schrat.eco – and works without an account

This week was all about the move: Schrat now lives at schrat.eco, the app at app.schrat.eco. The old schrat.io addresses redirect automatically.

New

• One sign-in for everything. Signing in on schrat.eco also signs you in to the app, and vice versa. No more logging in twice between your account, the marketplace and field work.
• Private projects without an account. The app can now be used without registering: create a project, pick survey methods from the catalogue, start recording. The data stays on your own device only. Good for trying things out and for single-person operations; for teamwork and backups the free account is still the way to go.
• New pricing page and price sheet. Plans are laid out clearly on the pricing page. The price sheet lists what each plan includes, support included.

Improved

• Downloads. The desktop versions for Windows, macOS and Linux download straight from the download page again.
• Sign-in flow. Registration and login were streamlined; the confirmation e-mail takes you straight back into the app.

What this means for you

If you have been using Schrat at schrat.io, there is nothing you need to do. Bookmarks and installed apps keep working. When convenient, update the desktop app to the current version from the download page so it keeps running once the old address is switched off.
