Processes, formulas in survey forms and PDF records

A busy week with three big themes: planning surveys, calculating inside the form, and passing results on.

New

• Processes. A process is a survey campaign with a time frame, for example "Sample inventory, North district, autumn 2026". You define which areas belong to it, assign them to crews, and can see at any time how many surveys are open, recorded or reviewed. In the field, crews see what has been assigned to them.
• Calculated values. Survey forms can now do the maths: volume per tree from diameter and height, averages per record, or grouped by species. Formulas are set up once in the survey method and the result appears while recording – no spreadsheet afterwards. Formulas across areas (for example growing stock from sample points inside a polygon) can already be set up and checked against sample data; automatic calculation will follow.
• PDF export. Any record can be exported as a PDF, with a choice of fields and optionally including empty ones. For submissions to authorities, expert reports or your own files.
• Marketplace with filters and providers. Survey methods can be filtered by topic, and you can see who provides each method. Providers have their own page. New on the marketplace: Verjüngungszustands- und Wildeinflussmonitoring (VWM), a regeneration and browsing-impact survey.
• Contractors in a project. External contractors can be added to a project as their own organisation, with name and logo.

Improved

• Traceable changes. Every change to a record is kept with a timestamp.
• No data loss from old drafts. A draft saved on the device no longer overwrites newer data from the server. The app shows the current data and tells you so.
• Areas and lines on the map. Records with polygon or line coordinates appear as areas and lines, not just as points.
